The Blackstone Canal District extends from Union Station to the north to Brosnihan Square to the south; and between I-290 to the east and Green Street/Quinsigamond Avenue to the west. The location of the historic Blackstone Canal (1828-1848 -- still buried underneath Harding Street -- and the seat of most European immigration in the 19th and 20th centuries, it is currently the city's most vibrant and fastest growing entertainmenta district.
