Worcester Windows September 2007-November 2007

The spring Worcester Windows exhibit will run September 7th – November 30th, 2007 and will feature the following artists and organizations:

30 Major Taylor Boulevard
Independent Artist Group will feature works by “Laurel” cartoonist Brian Nelson; Robert Dreyer, subject Native American Indians, in acrylic on canvas; The Fire Works Clay Studio will present work by Kathy Taylor and Darren Prodger. Kathy's quiet pieces use subtle hues of white and celedon. Her work has an asian sensibility. Darren works with rich, deep tones on dark stoneware. His work ranges from small tiles to three foot tall urns.

Worcester Artist Group will present Conversations, featuring the art of David Wackell and Svetlana Burinskaya.

Worcester Polish Heritage Federation will present the work of several Polish-American artists, including Monique Surdyka (oil painting and sculpture), Szymon Tolak (photography)Mattew Bisceglia (sculpture), Kathy Blackmer (glass), and Joanna Wrobel-Lorens (sculpture).
Denholm Building, 484 Main Street
Worcester African Cultural Center presents an exhibit of African Museum Instruments which are used in a variety of ways in African Cultural events, including weddings, funeral rituals, festivals, coming of age and masquerades.
WCCA TV-13, 415 Main Street
The Worcester County Poetry Association presents a fall display which promotes its participation in the Columbus Day Weekend Footsteps in History celebration which will include an open house celebration at the childhood home of US Poet Laureate and Worcester native Stanley Kunitz.
